Matt Hammon
President
Matt has spent his entire career in the fire protection industry, beginning as a part-time field technician while attending South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2002, he became the first registered Fire Protection Engineer in the state of South Dakota. Matt was appointed as President of Rapid Fire Protection, Inc in 2008 and has led RFPG as CEO since inception.
Rod DiBona
Chief Operating Officer
Rod began his fire protection career as an apprentice sprinkler fitter in 1990. He was a national finalist in the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) apprenticeship contest. Today, he is NICET level 3 certified in the design of water-based systems, and sits on the AFSA’s national Board of Directors — also serving as the AFSA national co-chairman for the Apprentice and Education Committee and sitting on the Membership, By-Laws, and Contractor committees as well.
Ray M. Wright III
Vice President of Operations
Ray began as an apprentice in 1998 for Western States Fire Protection Co. (Api Group). During his career, he’s worked with and managed various teams across the US — from Rapid City, SD to Northern California. Ray received many advancement opportunities throughout his tenure of leadership with the company, which has allowed him to become an expert in his field and an incredible asset to the Rapid Fire family.
